I keep clinical records relating to our work. These may include:

• brief session notes
• administrative information
• correspondence
• other information relevant to providing therapy responsibly

Personal information is collected, used and retained only for purposes reasonably connected with:

• providing therapy
• managing the practice
• fulfilling professional obligations
• complying with applicable law

Records connected with therapy and the administration of the practice are kept securely and retained in accordance with applicable professional, ethical and legal requirements. Personal information is not kept for longer than it is reasonably required for those purposes.

What you tell me in therapy is confidential. I will not ordinarily share information about you or our work with another person without your permission.

I may need to disclose relevant information if:

• I am required to do so by law or by a valid legal order;
• I believe there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or another person and disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect safety;
• another ethical or legal obligation requires me to take protective action; or
• you have explicitly authorised me to communicate with another professional or person involved in your care.

Where it is safe and practical to do so, I will try to discuss this with you before making a disclosure. If disclosure becomes necessary, I will aim to share only information that is relevant to the purpose.

I undertake professional supervision as part of responsible clinical practice. I may discuss aspects of my work with a qualified supervisor or professional consultant in order to think carefully about the therapy, my own practice, ethical questions or matters of safety.

Where possible, identifying information is omitted or minimised. Supervision is itself conducted within professional expectations of confidentiality.

Email and messaging are primarily for practical communication such as scheduling, cancellations, payment and brief updates. They are not intended to provide ongoing therapy between sessions.

You are welcome to send me something you would like us to return to when we next meet, but I may not respond therapeutically by message.

Electronic communication can never be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please consider how much sensitive personal information you want to include in an email or message.

Correspondence and enquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was received, or where it forms part of an ongoing professional or administrative record.

The practice email address, joseph@anhonestconversation.sg, uses the anhonestconversation.sg domain and is hosted through Zoho Mail.

The contact form uses Framer’s native form system. Submissions are configured for email-only delivery to joseph@anhonestconversation.sg. No Google Sheets destination, webhook, CRM or third-party form processor is connected. Framer Basic spam protection is enabled.

Framer processes information submitted through the form on behalf of the practice. For its spam and abuse protection features, Framer states that it may process verification tokens, risk scores, device and browser characteristics, interaction patterns and network signals.

The website does not collect or process payment information. Payment arrangements are handled separately after a session has been arranged.

This website uses Framer’s built-in analytics. Framer states that this analytics does not use cookies or persistent identifiers. It calculates daily unique visitors from a hash of the visitor’s IP address and user agent using a secret that resets each day. No additional analytics service is connected, so the website does not currently use analytics cookies.

Framer’s Privacy Statement says that personal data may be transferred internationally, including to the United States, where the servers it uses are located.
